Openly licensed audio files can be used in online courses as well as additional resources for students in courses of any delivery format.

Penn State Media Commons provides a list of search engines and databases to help in finding openly licensed audio files. This list is included for your reference below along with some additional resources. They have also provided a comprehensive list of free media sources on their website.

Use this multimedia search engine to find various types of CC licensed items from sources such as Google Images, Fotopedia, Jamendo, Flickr and more. They also have a community-built and maintained Content Directory that features hundreds of media resources from around the world and in a variety of different subject areas.
